GSA Schedule

A pre-negotiated contract vehicle that allows federal agencies to buy commercial products and services from approved vendors.

Overview

The GSA Schedule (officially Multiple Award Schedule or MAS) is a government-wide contract vehicle. Vendors apply, undergo evaluation, and receive a Schedule contract with pre-negotiated pricing and terms. Agencies then order directly without full competition.

Why It Matters in GovCon

GSA Schedules are one of the most common pathways to federal sales. They simplify ordering for agencies and provide contractors with access to thousands of buyers. Schedule holders must maintain compliance and competitive pricing to retain and grow business.

Key Details

  • MAS Consolidation: GSA consolidated numerous Schedules into a single MAS structure.
  • SINs: Special Item Numbers categorize products and services within Schedules.
  • eBuy: GSA's request-for-quote system for complex or higher-value Schedule orders.
  • Open to All: Any qualified vendor can apply; no limit on number of Schedule holders.
